A great vintage find from W.R. Midwinter Ltd., crafted in Burslem, Staffordshire—the heart of the English Potteries. Midwinter started back in 1910, but this piece features their signature Porcelon body, a durable, semi-porcelain earthenware they produced between the 1930s and early 1950s.

A few quick details:

  • The Era: Based on the circular backstamp, this dates to either the pre-war years (around 1932–1941) or just after WWII (circa 1946–1953).

  • The Numbers: The stamped and hand-painted marks on the base (like 1064 and 1768) are the original factory shape and pattern codes, along with the decorator’s batch mark.

  • The Feel: Sturdy, classic English ironstone-style earthenware with plenty of mid-century character.

Imported from England. A cutie!
