A stately, rustic, and delightful English early 18th Century oak bureau with ball finial feet. "As found" patina. A beautiful waxed surface with wear in all the right places. Aged brass ring hardware and a 6 drawer configuration. The top of this desk opens up to reveal lots of different storage compartments as well as a writing surface. A simple inset brass escutcheon adorns each drawer. Features a "secret compartment" in the area between the bottom two drawers. Imported from England. Heirloom.
