Newly framed in stunning gold. I love old engravings, especially hand-colored. Beautiful in a powder room or bedroom, study. I think the frame perfectly reflects the shapes of the shells. 

This is an antique, hand-colored engraving of various Murex seashells. It is Plate 25 from the "Animal Kingdom" series published as part of Georges Cuvier's work around 1816 or 1834.  The print features nine illustrations of different Murex species.
The text at the bottom identifies specific species such as Murex gyrinus, Murex bourinen, Murex alustus, and Murex scolymus.
