A Pair of Chinese Porcelain Plates Blue White Qing Dynasty Qianlong 1723 - 1795

Finely painted in underglaze blue, these Chinese porcelain plates feature a classic landscape composition depicting a pavilion beside a river, pine trees, distant mountains, and small sailing boats, all within a double-ring border. The design is framed by a band of diaper pattern and a richly scrolling floral rim border, all executed in deep cobalt tones. The central scene reflects the idealized Chinese scholar's retreat and evokes a strong sense of tranquility and harmony with nature. FAIR - (Whole Plate) restored, cracks, and glued on the base & border, with some chipping around the edges, light scratches and wear. The second plate represents an elder with child, weeping folate trees, and a bridge with birds in the background.  Please review the photos carefully for more details.
