A Beautiful French Aptware Serving Platter Bowl

Shipping calculated at checkout.

A beautiful French Aptware serving platter. Lovely blue marbling to the glaze. Would be great hanging on the wall or in a shelf. I'd use it to serve a snack on - and start a collection of it! Imported from England.

From Peace and Plenty Antiques:

"Aptware is named after a town in Provence where this unique ceramic technique was developed in the 18th century. The region's nutrient-rich clays, known for their natural tonal variations, inspired the creation of the first Aptware pieces. Over time, artisans began incorporating pigments and dyes to enhance the clay's colors, resulting in the vibrant hues that characterize modern Aptware. Distinctive for its marbling, Aptware achieves its unique patterns through the blending of clays rather than glazing."
