A stunning French 18th century fauteuil arm chair. A very good patina on this chair! Exquisite carving. Remnants of paint. The silhouette is beautiful. Easy-going and solid - really best as an occasional chair or bedroom chair! I had this chair reupholstered (and restored from the bottom up) in Lee Jofa's Hollyhock fabric. 100% cotton, hand blocked.

"Lee Jofa's signature fabric, Hollyhock Handblock, has been printed almost continuously since it's introduction in 1922. The design incorporates 38 individual blocks printing 19 colors and requires 100 individually placed blocks to complete one yard of fabric."

A special chair.

Should not be "scooted" across the floor on. Chair is solid. Imported from England. Heirloom.
