An 18th-century Style French Faience Vase or Flowerpot

Shipping calculated at checkout.

There is a real honesty to the glaze on this 18th-century style faience. The hand-painted motifs have that loose, slightly irregular charm that you only get from a painter’s brush, giving it a much more soulful feel than modern transfers. It’s got a nice weight to it, too—perfectly suited for a mantle display or actually put to use as a substantial flowerpot. It’s a classic European find that carries its age and history with a lot of character. Heirloom. Imported from England.

A few glaze skips, flea bites, in good antique condition. As is common with vintage earthenware of this age, very light surface marks or minor crazing may be present upon close inspection, but it displays beautifully with a bright, glossy finish.
