A lovely antique oak tall 18th century English bookcase. The top portion of the this secretary opens to reveal ample shelving. The lower portion has a pull-out secretary desk and 4 drawers below that open to reveal additional storage. Loads of cubby holes. Excellent patina and good dark oak color. Interior is painted an old dark green blue - wonderful! It all sits atop charming bracket feet! Strong and sturdy in joint and ready for use! Heirloom. Imported from England. This is an OLD piece with lots of signs of ages in the wood and hardware. There is a sliding mechanism inside the secretary that allows you to access the top drawer section - DELIGHTFUL!
