The Parson's Pine Chest of Drawers

We took one of our original antique English pine chests and used it as a blueprint to recreate this classic. It’s built entirely of solid pine using traditional joinery, from the hand-fitted dovetailed drawers to the tulip feet that were custom turned to match the original. There are no wood composites or plywood here—just real, solid pine throughout. There is a great bit of history in the wood, too: the pine used by English craftsmen in the 1800s was often sourced from North American forests, so bringing these designs back to the U.S. feels like a bit of a homecoming. By using those same local woods today, our craftsmen can maintain the style and methods that make these pieces stand the test of time. We originally started building these because so many people are looking for a pair of antique pine chests to use as nightstands—but as any collector knows, original antique pine chests are getting harder and harder to find, let alone a matching pair.
