An early to mid 20th-century Chinese famille rose bowl, vibrant and beautiful! Its porcelain body, likely fired in Jingdezhen, would display the hallmark soft, rosy hues of the famille rose palette, a technique popularized during the Qing Dynasty but continuing into the Republic era. The bowl's exterior features meticulously hand-painted motifs: blossoming peonies, symbols of wealth and honor, scenes of courtly life, reflecting traditional themes. The enamels, applied over a smooth, white glaze, would exhibit a subtle raised texture, a testament to the artisan's skill. A beautiful piece! This bowl has been lovingly repaired, it was someone's favorite!
